Introducing the Wharton New York Chapter's new Restructuring & Distressed Investing Affinity Group (WRDI)

We're excited to announce the launch of the Wharton Club of New York's Restructuring & Distressed Investing Group (WRDI NY) — a new professional community for alumni working in and around corporate distress.

Restructuring and distressed investing is a distinct discipline, with its own community, skill set, and market cycle. Wharton has deep, well-respected alumni across investing, private credit, advisory, law, operating leadership, and entrepreneurship. WRDI NY is a platform to bring that community together — and to create meaningful dialogue at a time of significant change and disruption in the market.

The goal of WRDI is to be purpose-built for professionals across the space, whether you invest in special situations, advise through turnarounds, lend private credit, or are involved the legal or operational side of distress.

Our programming will span the range of what this community values:

• Speaker events with leading alumni discussing the latest in distress and restructuring
• Fireside chats with investors, bankers, lawyers, operators, and CROs
• Case studies on turnarounds and complex capital structures
• Networking events for alumni across distressed, restructuring, private credit, and adjacent fields

The group will be shaped by its members, and we encourage you to get involved early.
