Join the Wharton Club of New York and ArtRabbit for a private evening at 60 White exploring Keith Haring: A World in Motion, a major exhibition dedicated to one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century.

This exhibition brings together works from the collection of Lio Malca and traces Haring’s creative life across New York, Tokyo, Paris, Milan, and San Francisco, exploring the intersections of art, nightlife, activism, music, and public space.

The evening will offer an inside look at both the exhibition and the process of building and stewarding an important private art collection.

Following a private walkthrough, guests will join collector Lio Malca for a conversation about the development of his collection, his relationship to the artists and works within it, and the evolution of collecting from private passion into a broader cultural platform.

The conversation will explore:
  • Building a significant contemporary art collection over time
  • How collectors develop their eye and decide which artists and works deserve sustained attention
  • The relationships between collectors, artists, galleries, and cultural institutions
  • Collecting as both personal passion and cultural stewardship
  • Keith Haring’s enduring influence and place within contemporary culture
  • How private collections can be shared with and experienced by broader audiences
Throughout the evening, guests will also be invited into the conversation through small-group prompts exploring their own perspectives on collecting, cultural value, legacy, and stewardship. The format is designed as an exchange rather than a traditional lecture, creating opportunities for guests to engage directly with both the collection and one another.
